I’m happy to present a new podcast and CEO interview.
In my new podcast I welcome Yra Harris, trader former Board Member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. We dive right into the current news cycle with what’s going on at Silicon Valley Bank. Whether the stress from higher rates is isolated to a few banks or is it a warning sign for the entire economy? And, are bank runs enough to scare the FOMC into a pause? We also look overseas at Japan, and Kuroda’s swan song, any opportunities there, as well as the relative strength of European stocks.
I then sit down with Jay Bray, Chairman and CEO of the Mr. Cooper Group. Mr. Cooper is one of the largest home loan servicers in the country. Jay has more than 25 years of experience in the mortgage servicing and origination industry and has seen a lot. We discuss the current conditions of housing, mortgages, and services, and how today compares to previous moments when we saw demand cool. We also discuss the particulars of Mr. Cooper’s positioning in the industry.
I hope you enjoy!
